It is far more difficult to 'figure out what is going on in the office' as the article points out. G&A costs are much more difficult for businesses to get their arms around. It takes a great deal of time and energy to become familiar with cost categories like shipping, telecommunications, merchant card services, copier contracts, etc. There are so many potential solutions, vendors, and options that it can become overwhelming real fast.

G&A cost reduction programs can be outsourced effectively. If you decide to outsource, look for a vendor that offers:
• Immediate and long term cost savings
• Dollars-and-cents guarantee
• Rigorous satisfaction assurance program
• Better terms for the same or better products/services
• Track record of saving
• Examples of client ROI
• Contingent fee structure (pay for performance)
• Cost-justified investment in outsourcing

Merchant Card Services
